IT services and support in Iqaluit, Nunavut

Enterprise-grade technology sized for northern organizations: secure, reliable, and supported by people who can actually come to your office. Systems designed for southern bandwidth do not survive contact with a satellite link, so we do not deploy them here.

Managed IT services & support

Ongoing responsibility for your machines, servers, accounts and backups, with someone local to call when something breaks. Remote support in the territory has a hard limit — when the connection is the problem, a remote technician cannot fix it. We are in Iqaluit and can be on site.

Cloud services & web applications

Migration to and management of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and cloud infrastructure, plus web applications built for how your organization works. The question in Nunavut is not whether to use cloud services but what happens when the link drops — so we configure offline access and local caching deliberately, rather than assuming connectivity that is not always there.

Cybersecurity & network security

Firewalls, endpoint protection, multi-factor authentication, patching and backups that have actually been tested by restoring from them. Small northern organizations are targeted precisely because attackers assume the defences are thin. For offices handling legal, financial or personal records, this is a professional obligation as much as a technical one.

VoIP, hardware & software installation

Phone systems, workstations, networking equipment and licensing — specified, procured, installed and configured. Hardware that arrives by sealift or air cargo is expensive to get wrong and slow to replace, so we size it properly the first time and keep spares in mind.

IT consulting, strategy & AI automation

Planning what to replace and when, what to keep, and where automation earns its cost. We are candid about what AI tooling is worth adopting and what is not — and for organizations handling confidential records, which tools are appropriate at all when client information is involved.

Common questions

Do you provide on-site support, or only remote?

Both, and the distinction matters here. Remote support cannot fix a connection problem, and in Nunavut the connection is often what failed. We are based in Iqaluit and can attend in person.

Can you support organizations outside Iqaluit?

Yes. Much of the work is remote, and we plan deployments around the reality that a technician cannot be dispatched on short notice to most communities — which means specifying resilient hardware and configuring systems to degrade gracefully rather than stop.

How do you handle backups?

Automated, monitored, and — the part that is often skipped — tested by actually restoring from them. A backup nobody has restored is an assumption, not a backup.

Is it appropriate to use AI tools with confidential records?

Sometimes, with care, and often not. It depends on where the data goes and what the provider is permitted to do with it. For an office handling legal or financial records, that is a question to answer before adoption, not after, and we will give you a straight answer on specific tools.

Local support, on site

If your IT support is a phone number in another time zone, you already know the limits of that arrangement. Tell us what is breaking and we will tell you what it would take to fix it properly.
