Who Am I?
Dedicated to serving, Jean-Claude Nguyen is a barrister and solicitor who practices in all areas of law. His great versatility means that he has already advised and represented clients in matters of labour law, administrative law, contractual law, business law and criminal law, to name just a few.
Mr. Nguyen offers his services in French and English. He also has basic knowledge of communicating in Inuktitut and Spanish.
Generous with his time, he has sat on the board of directors of Carrefour Nunavut, an organization dedicated to the economic development of the Franco-Nunavut community, since 2019. He has already sat on the supervisory board of a Desjardins’ Credit Union of Hull-Aylmer for several years.
About Me
He is the returning officer for the Nunavut riding with Elections Canada since May 2023. He previously served Canadians as the assistant returning officer for Nunavut in the fall of 2019. His greatest accomplishment was to contribute to recruiting a team of 283 employees in the 25 communities of Canada’s largest electoral district.
At the same time as pursuing his law studies, Jean-Claude worked in the federal, provincial, territorial and municipal public administration for more than 12 years. His rich experience in public service makes Mr. Nguyen an outstanding ally to guide you through the administrative process of organizations.
In his free time, Jean-Claude enjoys travelling, snowshoeing and hiking on the tundra. He is also passionate about cooking and will impress you around the table.
